静岡県立美術館へ伊藤若冲の《樹花鳥獣図屏風》を観に。

をどうしても観たくて、静岡県立美術館へ行ってきた。

作品は、その美術館に所蔵されているものであっても、行けばいつでも観られるとは限らない。
作品の保護のために公開できる期間が限られている場合もあれば、どこか他の場所での展示のために貸し出されていることもある。
それぞれの美術館が持つコレクション(所蔵作品)というのは、「そこにあるもの」でありながら、「そこにないもの」にもなるため、タイミングを逃してしまうと次に観られる機会がずっと後になってしまうこともあるのだ。

やや長旅ではあったが、《樹花鳥獣図屏風》が展示されているこの約1ヶ月間に今気がついたことも何かの縁だろうというので、思い切って出かけてみた。

草薙の駅で降り、ゆっくりと歩いて美術館へ向かう。

日曜の昼下がり、温かい日差しにほんのり上気しながら進むと、ひっそりとした静かな住宅街に桜が満開に輝いていた。

持ってきた玄米おにぎりを公園のベンチでほおばりながら、ゆったりとした風に乗って舞う桜の花びらを一人で見つめ、なんて贅沢な休日だろうかと、深々と幸せな心地がした。

美術館の周辺は広い公園の敷地、大学の敷地、図書館なども含まれた一帯となっており、ここにもまた満開の桜。
大型の立体作品も桜とともに干渉できる時期に当たったのだ、運がいい。







初めて行った静岡県立美術館は非常に丁寧なキュレーションにより、潔い展示が展開されていた。

企画展は、屏風だけが延々と並ぶという、滅多に見られないような構成だった。
通常、屏風の作品が多く展示される場合であっても、合間に掛け軸の作品や巻物の作品、さらには器などの陶芸作品やさまざまな金属の道具に装飾が施された作品などもある意味ではバランスよく展示物が構成されている場合が多いと思うのだが、
ここまで屏風だけで押し切られるとは正直予想していなかったことで、驚いた。ものすごく、かっこいい。

屏風は和室に設置されることを想定されたもののため、美術館で鑑賞者が立ったまま観る目線ではなく、畳に座って観た目線が本来なのだよなと以前から思っているのだが、そこを体感できるようにと畳が用意されたコーナーもあった。



当初の目的であった《樹花鳥獣図屏風》を自分の目でゆっくりと鑑賞できたことももちろん嬉しかったが、こういった誠実な展示を見落とす羽目にならず、本当に良かった。丸一日使ってここまで来た甲斐があった。


さらに企画展だけではなく、新収蔵作品も宮島達男、ジュリアン・オピーと今をときめく現代美術家たちの作品も並び、

その先にはロダン館と名付けられたロダンの彫刻作品を中心とした展示室も構えられ、内容は盛りだくさん。

独特の空間が魅力的なロダン館では
《地獄の門》もさまざまな角度から観ることができるし





《カレーの市民》といえば数人がひとかたまりになっているものしか思い浮かべられながらった私は、ひとつひとつの立体作品を観るうちに、ロダンについて改めてますます知りたくなった。彼の経歴も興味深く、近々何か本を読んでみようと思う。








また、ロダンも魅力的だったが、他にも立体作品のコレクションは素晴らしく、美術館入り口近くにあったトニー・スミスの作品には一目惚れしてしまった。









見る角度によって全く違った表情を突きつけてくるこの作品の周りを、何度もぐるぐると回りながら、1人で眺め倒していた。
次に来てもきっとまた同じように、私はこの作品の周りを何周も回るのだろう。






とにもかくにもここは予想以上の素晴らしさで、一度来ただけでは味わい切れないような魅力が詰まった美術館だった。ぜひまた観に来たい。

I went to Shizuoka Prefecture Museum of Art to see the famous Japanese panel art work by Jyakuchu Ito.
When I had known about this panel work at the first time, I read some books wirtten about Etsuko & Joe Price Collection which is one of the famouse collection about Japanese works especially Rinpa artists(edo era). They have many Jyakuchu's works and also very closely looks works with this panel work collected in Shizuoka Prefecture Museum of Art.


The museum collection works are collected in the museum of course, but some works can not be shown in the exhibition room because they cannot keep their condition under the strong right and untilsettled humidity and temperature by many audiences, or sometimes they will be lent for some exhibition held in another museum, so we may not meet them for a long time if we have no chance.

I catched this viewing information by chance, I went to that museum.
It was a small trip for me.
I needed a whole one day to go and back by a day trip.
I choiced some local trains, not the Tokaido Shinkansen. It's a slow slow holiday.


I got off the train at Kusanagi station, and I walked seeing many cherry blossoms.
How wonderful day...It's not crowded under the full of cherry blossoms...
I ate my lunch box under the tree. It's so happy.


In the site contained the Museum had college, library too, and many sculptures had set along the promnade.


I visited this museum at the first time.
Their exhibition were so cool, also their collection room.

they decided to show only panels.
Many exhibition about Japanese art or panel works show some another works like pottery works, hanging or scroll paintings and more.
But, they displayed only panels!!
It's so cool! How gracefully.
I liked their so smart presentation.

Jyakuchu's work was good.
And I was moved by this good show.
In addition to this special exhibition, their new collections and collection room for Rodin and many sculptures were nice too!

Did you know which college Rodin studied in?
Nowhere. He was lost his examine for École nationale spérieure des Beaux-Arts!!!
So he started his art as “outsider” in this art world! I remembered the story about some contemporary artist as outsider.

The way for you will not find by other people, you have to find your way. That's the only way for the success.

I want to read some books about Rodin.
His life must have been so exciting day.


And on this art trip, especially I loved Tony Smith's black sculpture in front of the entrance.
I walked around this work again and again.
How cool.
When I come back this museum in the future, I'll not be able to stop walking around this...

I was grateful for being this museum exhibition.
I'll come to see them again!
